Account & Data Deletion
Last Updated: October 2026
SKEP, operated by Rezolut Education Technologies Pvt. Ltd., allows members to request deletion of their account and associated personal data.
The in-app Delete Account feature is currently available to member accounts only. It is not currently available for coach or community-owner accounts.
This page explains how you can request account deletion, what information may be deleted, what information may need to be retained, and how deletion works for SKEP-powered customer applications.
This page should be read together with the SKEP Privacy Policy and Terms and Conditions.
1. Who Can Request Account Deletion
You may request deletion of your member account if you use:
- the SKEP web platform;
- a SKEP mobile application;
- a SKEP-powered Android or iOS application;
- a customer-branded application powered by SKEP;
- a SKEP-hosted community;
- a course, membership, event, programme or other service delivered through SKEP.
You may request deletion whether your member account was created directly by you or provisioned through a coach, trainer, creator, institution, employer, community owner or other SKEP customer.
The in-app Delete Account feature is currently available to members only. Account deletion for coaches and community owners is not covered by this feature at present.
2. How to Delete Your Account
Members can delete their account using the Delete Account option in their account settings. This in-app flow is currently available to members only.
A typical deletion flow may appear under:
Account / Profile → Settings → Privacy or Account → Delete Account
When you click Delete Account:
- a 30-day restoration period starts immediately;
- your account is deactivated immediately, your login is disabled and all active sessions are signed out;
- you will not be able to log in normally during the 30-day period;
- we will email you a cancellation link that you can use to restore your account during the 30-day period; and
- if the cancellation email cannot be delivered, Support can restore your account through an alternative process after verifying your identity.
If you are a member and the deletion option is not available in your account or application, you may request deletion by emailing support@skep.in and adding legal@skep.in in CC.
For account deletion requests, please use: To: support@skep.in | CC: legal@skep.in
Please include:
- your full name;
- registered email address;
- registered mobile number, if applicable;
- the name of the SKEP-powered app, community or programme you use;
- the coach, trainer, institution or organisation associated with your account, where applicable; and
- a clear statement that you want your account and associated personal data deleted.
Do not send passwords, OTPs or payment credentials by email.
3. Identity Verification
Before processing a deletion request, SKEP may take reasonable steps to verify your identity.
This is intended to prevent:
- unauthorised deletion;
- fraudulent requests;
- deletion of another person's account; or
- loss of information caused by an unverified request.
We may ask you to verify your request using:
- your registered email address;
- your registered mobile number;
- account authentication;
- another reasonable verification method.
We will not ask you to provide your account password by email.
If the cancellation email cannot be delivered and you ask Support to restore your account, Support must verify your identity before restoring it.
4. What Happens When You Delete Your Account
Once you request deletion, access to your account is blocked immediately and a 30-day restoration period begins. During this period you cannot log in normally, but you can restore your account using the cancellation link sent to your email or, if that email cannot be delivered, through Support’s verified recovery process (see Section 17).
At the end of the 30-day period, SKEP runs the relevant erasure and anonymisation operations. Different types of information are treated differently, as described in Sections 5 and 15.
Deleting your account may result in loss of access to:
- courses;
- programmes;
- memberships;
- communities;
- spaces;
- learning progress;
- event registrations;
- posts and comments;
- chat history;
- purchases;
- account settings;
- certificates or completion records, where applicable;
- saved content; and
- other information associated with your account.
Once the 30-day period ends and erasure has been completed, account deletion may be permanent.
You should download or export any information you are entitled to retain before completing deletion, where such functionality is available.
5. Personal Data That May Be Deleted
Subject to applicable law and operational requirements, at the end of the 30-day period account deletion may include deletion or de-identification of information such as:
- profile information;
- contact information;
- profile photograph;
- account preferences;
- community and space memberships;
- course enrolment information;
- learning activity;
- participation information;
- uploaded files;
- application activity; and
- other account-linked personal data that is no longer required.
Different types of information are handled as follows:
- Member account: deactivated immediately and throughout the 30-day period; normal login is blocked.
- Posts you authored: remain during the 30-day period and are then anonymised rather than deleted.
- Comments on other users’ posts:remain, with the author shown as “Deleted User”.
- Comments on a post that is anonymised: deleted together with that post.
- Chat messages:remain, with the sender shown as “Deleted User”.
- Memberships, course progress, purchases and related data: eligible associated data can be restored during the 30-day period. At the end of the period, this data is erased, anonymised or retained depending on its type and our legal obligations (see Section 6).
The exact data affected will depend on how you used SKEP and which features were enabled.
6. Information We May Retain
Account deletion does not necessarily mean that every record associated with your account will be immediately or permanently removed.
SKEP may retain certain information where reasonably necessary or legally required for:
- financial and transaction records;
- invoices;
- tax and accounting obligations;
- payment reconciliation;
- fraud prevention;
- security investigations;
- chargebacks and payment disputes;
- legal claims or disputes;
- regulatory obligations;
- enforcement of contractual rights;
- abuse prevention; or
- other lawful purposes.
Where information is retained for these purposes, access will be limited as appropriate.
7. Backups and Archived Systems
Deleted information may remain temporarily in:
- backups;
- security logs;
- archived systems; or
- disaster-recovery systems.
A retention period for database backups has not yet been defined. We therefore cannot currently commit to a specific time by which deleted information will be removed from backups.
Information held in backups will not generally be restored to active use except where necessary for security, recovery or legal purposes.
The 30-day restoration period described on this page applies to your active account. It is not a backup-retention period.
8. SKEP-Powered Customer Applications
If you use an application branded for a coach, trainer, creator, institution or other SKEP customer, SKEP may operate the underlying technology while the relevant customer may independently control certain information about you.
For example, the customer may maintain information relating to:
- programme enrolment;
- membership;
- attendance;
- coaching records;
- learner records;
- community participation;
- customer relationships; or
- other services provided by that customer.
When you submit a deletion request, SKEP may:
- delete data controlled directly by SKEP;
- notify or coordinate with the relevant customer;
- direct you to the customer for data that it independently controls; or
- process the request according to the customer's lawful instructions.
Deleting your SKEP account does not necessarily require a coach, trainer, institution or other independent organisation to delete records it is legally entitled or required to retain.
The member deletion flow does not automatically guarantee deletion of data that a coach, creator, institution or other organisation independently controls.
A member deleting their account in an app managed by a coach is different from a coach deleting their own account. Coach and community-owner account deletion is not currently available through this flow.
9. Creator and Organisation-Managed Accounts
If your account was created or managed by:
- an employer;
- educational institution;
- coach;
- trainer;
- community owner;
- creator;
- enterprise; or
- another organisation,
That organisation may have separate responsibilities regarding your personal data.
You may therefore need to contact both:
- SKEP, for data processed by SKEP; and
- the relevant organisation, for personal data it independently controls.
The current in-app deletion flow is available to members only. A deletion flow for coach or community-owner accounts is not currently available.
SKEP will provide reasonable assistance where appropriate and required by applicable law.
10. Apple App Store Users
If you use a SKEP-powered application distributed through the Apple App Store and you created an account within the app, you may be able to initiate account deletion directly from within the application.
Where you use Sign in with Apple, deletion may also involve revoking or invalidating applicable Apple authentication credentials or tokens where required.
Deleting a SKEP account does not automatically cancel an Apple subscription.
Apple subscriptions must generally be managed separately through your Apple account or App Store subscription settings.
11. Google Play Users
If you use a SKEP-powered application distributed through Google Play, you may request account deletion through:
- the available in-app deletion functionality; or
- the deletion process described on this page.
Deleting your SKEP account does not automatically cancel an active Google Play subscription.
Google Play subscriptions must generally be cancelled separately through the Google Play subscription settings.
12. Account Deletion and Paid Subscriptions
Account deletion and subscription cancellation are separate actions.
If you have an active paid subscription, deleting your account may not automatically cancel billing where payments are managed by:
- Apple;
- Google Play;
- Razorpay;
- a bank; or
- another payment provider.
Deleting your account does not itself cancel billing managed by a payment provider. You should cancel any active recurring subscription separately before deleting your account where necessary.
Deleting an account does not automatically create a right to a refund.
Refund eligibility is governed by the applicable SKEP Refund and Cancellation Policy, Creator policy, app-store rules and applicable law.
13. Account Deletion and Creator Purchases
Deleting your account may cause you to lose access to Creator Products that you previously purchased, including:
- courses;
- memberships;
- coaching programmes;
- communities;
- events;
- recordings; and
- other digital products.
SKEP is not responsible for loss of access resulting from a deletion request initiated by the user, except where otherwise required by law.
13A. Creator Refund Responsibility After Account Deletion
Deleting an account, leaving a community or removing access to a Creator Product does not transfer the Creator’s refund, cancellation, delivery or customer-service obligations to SKEP.
Where an End User purchased a course, coaching programme, membership, event, consultation, digital product, community access or other offering from a Creator, any refund or service-related issue arising from that offering remains the responsibility of the relevant Creator unless SKEP was expressly identified as the seller or service provider for that transaction.
Accordingly:
- account deletion does not automatically create a right to a refund;
- a refund request relating to a Creator Product should ordinarily be raised with the relevant Creator;
- the Creator remains responsible for its own refund policy, representations, programme delivery and commitments to End Users;
- SKEP is not responsible for a Creator’s refusal, delay or failure to issue a refund where the underlying obligation belongs to the Creator;
- SKEP may assist with transaction verification, technical issues, communication or processing of a refund approved by the Creator; and
- deleting an account does not cancel, waive or reassign any existing payment dispute, chargeback, refund claim or financial obligation.
Where a refund, chargeback or payment dispute remains open at the time of deletion, SKEP may retain transaction and dispute-related information as reasonably necessary to investigate or resolve the matter, comply with payment-provider requirements, defend legal claims or satisfy applicable law.
Nothing in this section limits any mandatory consumer right or legal remedy available under applicable law.
14. Children and Minor Users
Where an account belongs to a child or minor and applicable law requires involvement from a parent or lawful guardian, deletion requests may be submitted by or verified through the parent or lawful guardian.
SKEP may request reasonable information to verify:
- the identity of the requester; and
- their authority to act on behalf of the child.
For questions concerning a child’s personal data, contact legal@skep.in.
15. Posts, Messages and Shared Content
Some information you previously shared may not disappear immediately from every context when your account is deleted.
For example:
- posts you authored remain during the 30-day restoration period and are anonymised at the end of it;
- comments you made on other users' posts remain and are shown as posted by “Deleted User”;
- comments on a post that is anonymised at the end of the 30-day period are deleted together with that post;
- chat messages you sent remain in the recipients' conversation history, with the sender shown as “Deleted User”;
- a post may have been quoted or referenced by another user;
- transaction records may need to be retained; and
- content may remain in backups (see Section 7).
Where appropriate, deleted-account information may be removed, anonymised or de-identified.
16. Deletion Processing
The 30-day period starts when you click Delete Account. Your account is deactivated and normal login is blocked immediately. During the 30-day period, your account remains eligible for restoration (see Section 17).
At the end of the 30-day period, SKEP runs the relevant erasure and anonymisation operations described in Sections 5 and 15.
Once a valid deletion request has been verified, SKEP will process the request in accordance with applicable law and operational requirements.
The time required to complete processing may depend on:
- the type of account;
- the amount of associated data;
- whether the account belongs to a SKEP customer;
- whether another organisation controls some of the data;
- active transactions;
- payment disputes;
- security reviews;
- legal retention requirements; and
- organisation-controlled data.
We will not intentionally retain personal data longer than reasonably necessary for lawful purposes. Removal of information from backups is described in Section 7.
17. Cancelling a Deletion Request
You can restore your account at any time during the 30-day period:
- by using the cancellation link sent to your registered email address; or
- if the cancellation email cannot be delivered, by contacting Support at support@skep.in, who can restore your account through an alternative process after verifying your identity.
After the 30-day period ends and erasure has been completed, restoration may no longer be possible. We may not be able to restore:
- your account;
- Content;
- course progress;
- messages;
- memberships;
- communities; or
- other deleted information.
18. Alternatives to Account Deletion
If you do not want to permanently delete your account, other options may be available, including:
- cancelling a subscription;
- leaving a community;
- changing notification preferences;
- unsubscribing from marketing;
- removing profile information;
- withdrawing consent where applicable; or
- requesting correction of personal data.
You may contact us if you are unsure which option is appropriate.
19. Privacy Rights
Account deletion is separate from other privacy rights you may have.
Depending on applicable law, you may also be able to request:
- access to personal data;
- correction or updating;
- completion of incomplete information;
- withdrawal of consent;
- erasure of specific information;
- grievance redressal; or
- other applicable privacy rights.
For more information, please review the SKEP Privacy Policy.
